Ire toluhi is an 18 years old singer based
in Abuja, Nigeria. She had been an instagram cover artist for about two years
and was nominated for the Nigerian Teen choice award during that period.
Ire
recently released her debut single titled “My
Offering” which is up for free download.
Quoted:
“This
song was written at 3 different periods last year, and each verse was
spontaneous. It came into being because of the realization that I do not own
myself, and the only to live as Jesus wants is to first get rid of my old,
sinful flesh which is susceptible to ruin (explanation of the first line of My
Offering).
My aim
is to give hope about Christ and spread the gospel of Jesus to both believers
through music and poetry.
The fact
that the world is in a state of clamor gives me things to write about because I
know the solution is Jesus Christ.”
Ire Toluhi was homeschooled and musically
influenced by Morgan Harper Nichols, Nathaniel Bassey, Ify Benson, Jamie Grace,
Ty Bello, Brooke Fraser, Lacey Sturm, Flyleaf, Tenth Avenue North, Travis
Greene, The trusted hymn book and her older brother Tolu Toluhi.
